I am a senior at Tufts University, majoring in International Relations and History. This summer, I was a Special Events and Fundraising Intern for GLAD, a legal non-profit in Boston focused on advocating for LGBTQ+ persons in New England and across the country. Every year, I have also been a leader for FOCUS, a pre-orientation program at Tufts focusing on community service around the Boston area. In this role I lead a group of 8-11 incoming freshman on service trips around Boston all centering around a specific theme. This can include food kitchens, trail maintenance, back-to-school prep, or other areas depending on the theme that year.This spring, I studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, through the DIS program, where I took several classes including Humanitarian Law & Armed Conflict (which included a research trip to Kosovo). I am educated in Danish through the B1 level under CEFR standards and am currently enrolled in a B2 German course.In 2021, I worked as an Undergraduate Admissions Intern for Tufts University and I worked in 2018 as a Community Engagement Intern for Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston in Refugee Services. I speak fluent Spanish and I also speak intermediate Danish and German.
