Early Interventionist Brief Description:The Early Interventionist is expected to conduct structured assessments and provide individualized instruction andspecialized intervention to children with a range of developmental disabilities, including children on the Autism spectrum.The Early Interventionist prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities; assesses andmonitors child progress using different data collection methods, ensures quality of intervention, maintains confidentiality ofchildren, families, and staff involved in the program; attends and participates in meetings, trainings and conferences asassigned. The Early Interventionist must be familiar with and/or willing to learn a range of tools and intervention approachesspecific to the field of Early Intervention (e.g. Early Start Denver Model; Assessment, Evaluation and Programming System;Activity-Based Intervention, etc), and how to implement them to fidelity.The Early Interventionist will work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary Early Intervention team tocoordinate and deliver services to young children (birth to 3) with special needs in center-based program with early childhoodeducators and/or home-based settings. S/he will assist in program implementation and evaluation on an ongoing basis, support in planning/oversight and delivery of all early intervention activities and services; promote family engagement and participation,safety standards; assist in the development and implementation of child and program goals; and engage in peer-to-peercoaching.In addition to providing direct intervention to children, the Early Interventionist will also perform any related administrativeduties, such as writing progress reports, collecting child or interventionist data, monitoring and evaluating child progress, andengaging in self-directed training.
