Responsible for the product development and process engineering for a $65 Million hardware business with manufacturing of floor springs and other glass door control mechanical hardware. Responsible for all aspects of upgrading of existing products, production process engineering, technical support, PDM and verification of supplier capability.Grew an engineering team from scratch, & brought it to a high level of maturity in product development.Set up a testing center which enabled in house testing center for product feature verification, functional testing and full life testing.Grew new products sales number from `$0.8M to ~$8M in around 2.5 years. Obtained 25 patents covering both functions of breakthrough products and creative new concepts.Completed production certification for over 70 products, a major driver in a specification driven business. Initiated a roadmap for the development and application of SPC in manufacturing process.
