Computers have always been a huge part of my life.I taught myself 6510 machine code in the mid eighties at the age of 14, moved on to the Motorola 68000 when Commodore released the Amiga and later taught myself C and C++ while waiting for my teachers at the University to catch up.After getting my degree in the late nineties, I was swept away by Java and the explosive growth of the Internet and my Java expertise dates back to the earliest release of the platform covering J2ME, J2SE and J2EE across a variety of application frameworks and many different technologies (Eclipse, GWT, LWJGL, Android to name a few). I have been involved in the design and implementation of everything from presentation layers to backend server components, including low level computer graphics, advanced data structures and search algorithms.While working at 3Shape I ventured into Project Management for a few years, but my heart and mind remained in Software Engineering, and I started my consulting business working mostly on iOS (Objective-C) and Unity3D (C#), with the occasional Android port thrown in for good measure.Regardless of platform, I feel my key contribution to software projects is my ability to absorb new technologies and to understand and abstract real-world ideas and problems into code. Over the years I have acquired the experience needed to make reliable estimates and meet deadlines.Specialties: Optimization, OO interface design, computer graphics (OGL / Unity3D), data communication (hosted services, protocols, scalability, Bluetooth Smart).
