About Andrew Boardman

After two decades as founder and principal of Manoverboard, I am now serving as creative director at Mangrove, a digital agency and Certified B Corp based in Northern California. It is an honour and pleasure to serve them — and my focus is on helping clients advance their mission through design strategy and design management. I also work with the Mangrove team on its web sustainability and accessibility initiatives.Prior to Manoverboard, I worked at The Rockefeller Foundation helping to manage a fellowship for leaders fostering democracy and civil society. I then worked at a large digital agency in New York. My focus is on the intersection of design, user experience, technology and sustainability. Mostly, I advocate for a progressive web that is humane and calmer.Manoverboard was the first Certified B Corp in the province of Manitoba. For 17 years, we provided digital platforms, communications strategies, and identities, helping nonprofits, foundations, educational institutions and impact funds create social impact. Mangrove absorbed Manoverboard through a successful merger in January 2023.
