About Bob Abel

What differentiates me from most other statisticians is this: my commitment to Bayesian statistical methods. In the 26 years since acquiring my PhD, I have become reluctantly but firmly convinced that the Bayesian approach to statistics is preferable to the classical, frequentist approach. I seek to promote the use of Bayesian methods in real-life applications. However, most of my professional work has relied on classical methods, especially in support of early phase clinical development at Parke-Davis and Pfizer for 14+ years.
