Member of a team developing a Fly-by-Wire Automatic Flight Control System for use on helicopters. Responsibilities consist of developing Hardware Design Requirements and documentation for Flight Control Assembly and the Motor Control Assembly. The Fight Control Assembly provides commands and monitoring of Electric Mechanical Actuators controlling the main and tail rotors of the aircraft. The Motor Control Assembly provides the control and monitoring of the electrical power used by the Electric Mechanical Actuators. These requirements are used by the hardware engineers to design and test the applicable hardware elements to meet all operational and regulatory requirements.

Activities included overseeing an outside supplier in development of fault detection, isolation and reporting software as well as being primary contact with other Airbus organizations for BITE interface issues.

Performed Project Management and System Engineering activities in the development of a heavy lift cargo airship. As a member of the Systems Engineering team my primary focus was the development and integration of the various airship avionics systems. This included the establishment of the Avionics and Flight Control Project Team consisting of a multi-national group of ten engineers responsible for a $15 million development program.
