There were multiple situations as I worked through complex customer interactions that he was there to support, but ultimately put the ball in my court to learn how to handle the situation. Allowing failure, but delivering the business needs within boundaries. He is the first person to call when facing a challenge and the first person to shed light on success. If I was in a position with a team that needed to rally and provide first class support and service to a customer, I can honestly say that there is no one better than Bob Backscheider. Bob was the leader on our team during a very fragile turning point in our business. With his "go-getter" and strategic attitude, he built a foundation of what our team is today and has grown by almost 200% since his departure. It is amazing to see the drive and determination that built the positions that I manage every day. I am also glad to say that I have developed a close friendship with Bob over the 2 years since his departure. And as a friend, there is no one more in tune and inline with growing talent and reviving lost engagement. He has a care for people that goes beyond the natural requirements and will connect with people where they are. He continues to sharpen me and make me better, literally every day.
