My role as a senior QFI and supervisor was to deliver live and synthetic training to staff and students from day one of Hawk ground school through to the end of their Tac Weapons Training. The job also involved frontline support to the Royal Navy and Army of Oman and participation in multi-national domestic exercises.

I was an A2, CFS accredited QFI and QWI on the Hawk T1 at 19 Sqn. I was qualified to teach and authorise all sorties for trainee staff and students alike.

I was a combat ready pairs lead on the Jaguar GR3A, qualified for day and night (NVG) low level and medium level strike operations. I was a graduate of TLP (Florennes) and ATLC (Al Dhafra) and partook in multi-national exercises in the US, Oman, UAE, Belgium, Holland, Italy and throughout the UK.

I successfully completed EFT and was streamed to Fast Jets. I then followed the traditional training path until I was selected to attend NFTC Cold Lake for my Tac Weapons training. Upon successful completion of that course I was sent to the Jaguar OCU at RAF Coltishall.
