Bob Barrows served as a HS administrator for 14 years and then served as a SPED Director for 15 years and now serves as a Special Education consultant who currently provides professional learning activities in the area of Transition to Colorado high school special education staff and administrators through his contract with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Bob also supports CDE through an additional contract to increase interagency collaboration to school districts through Colorado's Sequencing of Services initiative. Bob was awarded the Professional of The Year by the Autism Society of Colorado in 2014 and also awarded the Child Advocate of the Year by the Arc of Mesa County in 2021. Starting on Nov. 8, 2023, Bob is available for professional learning for SPED to other states in the USA through his Barrows Barometer on Special Education nationwide consulting platform. For those interested in filling gaps and deepening repertoires to pave a symbiotic path to successful adulthood, Bob will be hosting 2-day rejuvenating and interactive retreats based on nationally recognized standards.
