Profile bio

About Bob Bialecki

Before entering the educational field, I was in sales and marketing. I was hired by a tropical fish and supplies wholesales distributor as a sales representative. Later, I was in charge of the sales department in Ohio and eventually brought into the cooperate office to service our main account. I eventually came back to Michigan and began working for a package/marketing company where I helped customers re-brand themselves as well as designing point of purchase displays. Feeling a need for change, in 2002, I returned to school where I earned my teaching degree. I began teaching the autism summer program and was hired to develop and implement a classroom for students with autism spectrum disorder. While there, I developed and implemented a Tier 2 program that was able to bring the team together for the common good of the student. After a few years in teaching in the classroom for students with autism, I was awarded the honor or teacher of the year in the 2011-12 school year for the creation of a program that lent itself to a number of teaching approaches. Both parents and teachers nominated me for creating a system that kept the parents informed daily and providing guidance to the students who out performed their goals. It was a new way of thinking and was later adopted by the building for other students as well. While the intent was to use the new Support for Success program with students with ASD, it was adopted by the school for the entire student body. In 2014 I transferred to a different school and program. I became the resource teacher and brought my Support for Success program and modified it to fit my new audience. Students in my program began to reach higher and achieve more by focusing on the academic behaviors that the program focused on. I was again honored with being the Teacher of the year in the 2017-18 school year for my work with other teachers and parents to improve the learning environments of the students and being able to bridge the gap in communication between school and home.
