A first of its kind role in NCAA Division I athletics, Athletics Integrity Officer- an appointment with Assistant Vice President rank- monitors intercollegiate athletics on behalf of the University President & Board of Trustees to ensure that the University's highest standards of ethics and integrity are being met in all areas related to intercollegiate athletics. The role which reports to the University’s Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer calls for collaborative interaction with the offices of the President, Provost, Student Affairs, University Title IX, Clery Act, University Police and Public Safety as well as the Athletic Director, senior athletic leadership, coaches and student-athletes to ensure the well being of student-athletes, the University community and the public at large. The position is charged with policy development, policy implementation, and a substantial investigative portfolio. Areas of policy developed include helping craft University response to challenges created by legalized sports betting, NCAA student-athlete compensation and name, image and likeness litigation(O'Bannon & Alston-Jenkins), Department of Education reviews of Title IX (Office of Civil Rights) and Clery Compliance and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania reviews of anti-hazing policy and sports betting policy. As Athletics Integrity Officer in 2021, played a key role in the creation and implementation of the University's Name, Image & Likeness policy and in reviewing the Pennsylvania NIL Bill.Role also calls for oversight of major issues related to intercollegiate athletic activities on all 24 of Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses.Additional Faculty Appointments, Lecturer:Penn State Law School, 2019-Penn State School of Labor and Employment Relations, 2018-Assumed Role as Acting University Ethics Officer, August 2021-

Joined the full-time faculty of the nation's oldest and the #1 ranked national and international sports business program in the Fall of 2015. The first sports law expert to join the full-time faculty in the nearly 50 year history of Ohio's program. Named Director of the MBA/MSA program in November, 2015. Ohio University program was named the #1 Graduate Sports Business Program in the World, by Sports Business International in each of the two years leading the program. Leading admissions and recruitment for the program, overseeing financial aid expanded global outreach and substantially increased diversity in entering classes.

Firm is on hiatus with role at Penn State in July 2017.

Founding faculty of Masters Degree in Sports Business (2003). Promoted to Associate Clinical Professor (2009). Promoted to Academic Chair, Chief Academic Officer of program from 2010- 2014.
