Performed pre-functional, functional and maintenance of critical data system’s power infrastructures (VFD, UPS, PDU, ATS, MTS, switchboards, circuit verifications, circuit breakers, contact resistances, emergency generators, process analysis, infrared scanning, and coordination studies).

Provided hardware and software support for computer users in the Athens, GA and surrounding area. Seminars on hardware and software products, consultation, and program development services offered.

Designed and developed a standard product line of improved energy-efficient (CEE) motors. Supervised one-third of Sales Order Engineering Department and reduced late order count by 71%, order lateness by 79%, Work in Process (WIP) by 69%, and response time to customer’s order changes from 5-6 weeks down to 1 week for the team. Principal liaison for the Engineering Division in the development and integration of numerous software packages for Rockwell Automation’s order entry and manufacturing systems. Assumed overall responsibility for management of Sales Order Engineering Department in March 2000. During this period, departmental WIP was reduced by 68%, lateness by 74%, late order count by 81%, and response time to customer’s order changes from 4-8 weeks down to less than 2 weeks.

Provided worldwide technical support and training for Reliance Field Service Engineers and customers on a variety of Reliance’s analog and digital motor control products. Created and taught several training classes on complex products. Managed and coordinated the combined resources of Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service Divisions in providing focused solutions for customer problem resolution.

Designed automated test stations and manufacturing procedures for new microprocessor-based variable frequency drive (VFD) product line utilizing surface mount technology (SMT). Provided liaison and integration support between Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Testing groups.

Designed and developed automated testing stations for high speed motion analysis equipment. Active with the national Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA), which set international specifications and standards for component design, fabrication and testing of surface mounted devices (SMDs).
