I am a former federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York with over 30 years of experience in all facets of white collar and government enforcement work. I regularly represent major financial institutions and other large corporations, as well as their most important employees, in high-stakes and sensitive government investigations.I spent more than 11 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in Manhattan, where I became Chief of the Organized Crime & Terrorism Unit. As a federal prosecutor, I tried more than a dozen jury trials to verdict and argued numerous appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.In my practice, I advise clients in investigations involving complex financial and securities frauds, antitrust violations, foreign corruption and bribery, and insider trading, among other things. I routinely defend corporations and their senior executives in all manner of government investigations. I also conduct internal investigations for corporations in a variety of fields, including finance, banking, real estate, telecommunications, and shipping. I have also represented various corporate and individual clients in cross-border and multijurisdictional investigations, as well as related court proceedings.
