Lead a team of 3 engineers to implement quality metrics reporting in the LV Drives business. Learned Cognos Impromptu and Powerplay tools and techniques. Developed numerous Impromptu catalogs against various types of databases - SQL, IBM Mainframe, oracle, Sybase, to allow users to create own reports. Maintained the RA training program for Cognos tools. Worked with IT people to develop the Quality Data Warehouse and expand its capabilities to meet the needs of customers. Implemented web based Cognos reporting. Developed monthly quality management reports that were used by Quality Management to see trends in quality across all Drives product families. Completed Greenbelt and blackbelt training at RA and used the tools to improve some transactional data processes.

Supported drives life testing activities. Developed field MTBF calculations for drives. Updated derating guidelines. Worked with design assurance engineers to do predictive MTBF calculations and identify and address design deficiencies.

Reliability certification through ASQ. Tools used: Reliability predictions using Mil-STD-217, Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. Managed reliability demonstration testing with the Design Engineer and performed root cause failure analyses.

Part time intern in support of the Development Engineers at the facility. Worked on creating reports needed by the manufacturing floor with the industrial engineer. Learned SPC techniques and was involved in gathering data from various production lines. Helped support the quality control department in various activities.
