Bob Cone handles business and commercial litigation, including business torts, banking disputes, construction cases, products liability, contracts, unfair trade practices, and landlord-tenant disputes. He represents persons injured in motor vehicle accidents and as a result of toxic chemicals. Bob has won jury verdicts in federal and state courts, handled complex litigation as lead counsel in the North Carolina Business Court, and argued cases on appeal in the North Carolina and federal appellate courts. His practice includes alternative dispute resolution procedures. He is a certified mediator. Recognized by his peers in the area of trial practice, Bob currently serves as president of the Guilford Inn of Court and is a Master of the Bench in the American Inns of Court.Bob is a past president of the Greensboro Bar Association, a member of the National Conference of Bar Presidents, and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is a past member of the Advisory Board of the Conflict Resolution Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a former member of the Dispute Resolution Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a mediator for the United States Postal Service. Bob is an elected member (and on the Executive Committee) of the North Carolina State Bar Council, the governing body of the the North Carolina State Bar. Bob is a past chairman of Cone Health Foundation and is a former vice-chairman of the Greensboro Urban Ministry. He is a past president of the Rotary Club of Greensboro and a past chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Greensboro Public Library.
