Prime magazine was honored recently with two 1st Place and three 2nd Place awards at the 2015 convention of the North American Mature Publishers Association (NAMPA). Editor Sandra Polizos received 1st Place for her feature "Memories of the March," (Mar. 2015), and publisher Bob Corley received 1st Place for ad design for All EARS Hearing Centers (Feb. 2015). Judy Weaver of Mobile received 2nd Place for her story "Trip of a Lifetime," about planning an around-the-world trip (Dec. 2014). Prime Art Director Callie Corley received 2nd Place for her feature "Blood of Heroes," a profile of the WWII Museum in New Orleans. Prime's website (www.primemontgomery.com) won 2nd Place in website design.Awards were judged by an panel of experts from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, considered one of the top journalism schools in the world. Prime, distributed free at more than 275 locations across Montgomery's River Region, competed with approximately 80 other publications in NAMPA, a non-profit association of publishers producing newspapers and magazines for the mature market, with members in 30 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada.
