• Performed bioinformatic analysis of zinc finger and RING zinc transcription factor families• Managed a team which performed a targeted metabolite analysis of transgenic or mutant plants using GC, GC-MS, and HPLC (five leaf and seven seed analyses) for 1222 transcription factors.• Managed a team which performed 12 different abiotic stress plate based assays on transgenic plants for 171 transcription factors.• Managed a team which performed ad hoc metabolite analyses of plants using GC-FID, GC-MS, or HPLC.• Managed a research project to advance a transcription factor towards commercial production. This work involved devising experiments to understand the transcription factor mode of action for lead optimization and creation of a strong patent estate.• Implemented a robust whole plant assay to screen plants for nitrogen use efficiency (uptake and remobilization) using 15N labeling studies.• Obtained and managed USDA-SBIR Phase I, II, and III grants to investigate the potential use of overexpressing Arabidopsis transcription factors to increase rubber production in Guayule.• Delivered multiple oral or written presentations to our partners in addition to internal, national, and international presentations.• Mentored over 35 high school students enrolled in the San Mateo Regional Occupational Program.• Member 401K investment committee• Published six peer-reviewed publications and three reviews.• Inventor on 18 issued patents and two patent applications.
