Security Tactics Manager
Exelon Nuclear, Security Tactics Manager: Oversee and improve tactical training, range training facilities, force-on-force drills, and armorers in the 1700 member security force that supports Exelon’s Nuclear fleet. Conduct physical security analysis, design, and implementation of defensive tactics and strategies; Provide technical and tactical expertise to develop creative/cost effective security systems (designs, changes, and enhancements) based on threat/vulnerability assessments for 14 commercial nuclear power plants. Develop and oversee protective strategies and tactics, cyber security, and tactical training development utilizing the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process. Provide governance and oversight to security operations, training, armorers and range personnel with specific focus on weapons systems, munitions, ranges, and associated equipment. Research, test, and provide design input, pilot and field the installation, application, maintenance and testing of over $250M of detection, assessment, delay, and response systems. Perform interface with the NEI and NRC for force-on-force activities and information, Interface with the NRA or other national agencies to obtain and maintain approval for courses of fire, and ensure courses of fire support the security organization’s ability to execute the protective strategy. Conduct CBA’s, develop business cases and provide risk decision matrices. Manage and oversee contracts with security-related vendors and provide support for business activities in areas of expertise as directed. Security Coordinator for the Fleet Emergency Operations Center with duties including Liaison with the affected facility in case of station emergency or hostile action event.
