Nearly 32 years in the airline/aviation industry, largely focused on international processes relating to the clearance of persons and goods over international border. While many hope to become rich and famous, and to retire by 40, my primary goal is to find a way to encourage governements to adopt common processes that make sense in the airport environment. It seems now that while a range of issues still remain unresolved that prevent seamless processing of international arriving and departing passengers, we are spending an increasing percentage of our time and energy trying to align and harmonize passenger data exchange programs. Working with the World Customs Organization and ICAO, and now increasingly with the United Nations, we have been able to make a great deal of progress from the perspective of internationally agreed standards. Now, we just need to convince governments that it is in their best interests to go along. That will keep me busy until I retire !Specialties: Regulatory Review and Response, International Aviation Standards, Public Presentations, Negotiation, Process Development and Applications, Training Development and Ballroom Dancing (not!)
