Banking professional with over 35 years experience.. I have worked in banking since 1979 (ABN AMRO for 21 years, Canadian Western Bank for 16 years) and have been a corporate/commercial lender since 1982. I have mostly provided term loans, financing everything from nurseries, oil and gas reserves, oil and gas pipelines, potash and uranium mines, aircraft and real estate. I also have experience selling foreign exchange and interest rate hedging products, deposits, and trade finance products including import letters of credit.Loans underwritten have varied from a low of under $100,000 to over $100MM. With so many years lending, I have learned how to structure and negotiate a loan that meets the needs of a customer and is acceptable to my credit floor. I have financed a number of acquisitions that require subordinated debt and have introduced and negotiated with the debt providers to bring them into the deal.I have either led or have been a participant in a number of syndicated loans and have the ability to negotiate and lead the process.I follow the rule if we don't think we can do the deal we let you know right away and both parties move on.I have been a branch manager since March of 2007 and have 21 on staff.Having always worked for relatively small Canadian banks, I have always had to work hard to bring business in. As a result, I appreciate my clients and business contacts and work hard to keep them happy.
