I practiced law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 43 years and retired on January 1, 2010.Following retirement my wife and I moved to Stuart, Fl. We began seeking charitable work to do as volunteers and in 2011 founded (with 3 friends) Can We Help.Over the ensuing 5 years, Can We Help has grown to include approximately 65 volunteers who prepare and serve meals to about 50 homeless men and women, supply them with clothing and provide other necessities (hygiene articles, tents, blankets and sheets).Can We Help has recently expended it's services to include a prison ministry to homeless persons at the Martin County Jail, programs to assist people striving to achieve self sufficiency and coordination with other non profit partners engaged in similar or supportive ministries.
