MAC is a 21 member advisory board established by the Charlotte County Board of County Commissioners to evaluate, consider and review marine-related matters in Charlotte County. Additionally, the committee considers and analyzes the development and maintenance of marine-related facilities and waterways.The committee provides recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners on issues related to those duties specified above or other duties assigned by the Board of Commissioners.

As a retired annuitant, performed specialized security inspections in support of the Department's mission to provide effective protection to personnel, facilities, and sensitive information.

A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, rank of Minister Counselor, managed Diplomatic Security’s Threat Investigations and Analysis Directorate. In this capacity, provided oversight to all Diplomatic Security programs that analyze, assess, investigate, and disseminate information on threats directed against U.S. diplomatic personnel overseas and domestically. Similarly, was responsible for the Overseas Security Advisory Council, a public-private partnership that promotes the sharing of security information between the U.S. Department of State and American private sector organizations with operations and personnel abroad. Also provided oversight for the Rewards for Justice program, the U.S. Government's premier public anti-terrorism rewards program.

As the Deputy Assistant Director for International Programs, assisted the Director in managing and directing all Bureau of Diplomatic Security programs and policies that protect the Department of State's international missions and personnel from the threats of terrorism, espionage (human and technical), and crime.

Served as the personal advisor to the ambassador on all security issues and coordinated all aspects of the mission's security program. Developed and implemented effective security programs to protect employees from terrorist, criminal, and technical attack both at work and at home. In addition, provided unclassified security briefings and other professional security advice to U.S. business executives travelling to or living in Beijing.Also served as the primary liaison with police and security services in an effort to obtain support for U.S. law enforcement initiatives and investigations.
