Dr. Elson received his undergraduate and medical training at Tulane University, and the Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at LAC-USC Medical Center, and completed his Fellowship in gastroenterology at U.C.L.A. He had a gastroenterology private practice in Santa Monica, CA., until July, 2024, when he retired from full time work. He is an expert endoscopist, with more than 30,000 colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and E.R.C.P.'s successfully performed. For more than 25 years, Dr. Elson also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the U.C.L.A. School of Medicine, teaching house staff and gastroenterology Fellows.
