Principal attorney within the Environmental & Energy and Real Estate Transactional Services practice groups advising clients on compliance with federal, state and municipal environmental and land use laws; represent clients before administrative agencies in permitting and enforcement proceedings; extensive pro bono practice in support of initiatives to protect and conserve the environment and the development of legal strategies (model laws, model rules, model executive orders) to decarbonize the transportation, agricultural, energy and industrial sectors of the economy.

Assisted legal department with evaluation of sewer use reports, identification of potential violations, preparation of notices of violation, and administrative enforcement matters.

Performed legal research and drafted memoranda on topics ranging from environmental law, federal preemption of state and municipal law, bankruptcy, trademarks, and criminal law; attend client meetings and observe trials.

Performed legal research and drafted memoranda in support of municipal and non-profit clients on land use and environmental matters, including application of Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act.

Attended motion sessions, performed legal research, drafted memoranda, discussed evaluation of pending cases, and drafted opinions in collaboration with full-time law clerk.

Performed field and land records research on land use and ownership patterns on the Northern Spotted Owl, interviewed U.S. Fish and Wildlife personnel on scientific studies, forestry practices to preserve habitat, and strategies for outreach to stakeholders.

Awarded multi-year grant from NASA for the development of sensor and neural network technologies to detect the onset of cracks in aircraft components and micro-meteorite impacts on orbiting satellites; presented findings and proof of concept to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory
