Through Seahawk Creative I tell stories via books, magazines, film and television. I write, produce and film the adventure series, Salish Sea Wild! for the University of California's SeaDoc Society. My most recent book is The Barefoot Bandit, The True Tale of Colton Harris-Moore, New American Outlaw, published by Hyperion. My film "It Takes An Island" was an official selection of the Seattle International Film Fest and won a short-film competition. I also work as a consultant, writer and producer with film studios, network television programs such as CBS 48 Hours and Dateline NBC, and magazines including Outside, Smithsonian Air & Space, Islands, Sunset and others.

Along with collecting my underwater photography in two books -- Underwater Maldives and Underwater Bahamas -- I've written travel, adventure, humor, science, and lifestyle articles for book publishers, magazines, newspapers, non-profit companies, and online sites. As editor of Caribbean Travel & Life, I worked cover to cover with a great team of professionals that I handpicked and in some cases trained from cubs. Together, and on a limited budget, we produced a beautiful glossy that won dozens of editorial and art awards. As a hands-on editor and content producer, I not only had responsibility for creating and maintaining the brand identity, I also shot covers, and wrote and shot a feature article in nearly every issue. In addition I was responsible for all aspects of editorial planning, budgeting and production as well as managing process and personnel. .
