I have the pleasure of being the FinTech, Digital Assets, and Blockchain advisory leader for the UK and APAC regions here at Lockton. Working with firms of all sizes from start-ups and SME's- right through to the so-called "unicorns" across the wide range of client sub sectors including Custodians, Exchanges, Payment processors, Financial Infrastructure, Tokenization firms, specialists Asset Managers.These industries are broad in nature, where any one solution does not match another. My role is to understand the client proposition, and the risks it entails, and help them articulate this in a manner that they can look to transfer that risk in a way that is best for them and their firm.I started my career working for a multinational broker as part of the client relationship team for a number of clients. I then transferred into the world of Bid and Prospect management where I helped develop client strategies and how as risk advisers, we can do more than just "buy insurance" and instead look at financial risk holistically. Both of these foundations have led me to advise Tech firms both for their immediate needs but also as they grow and develop.
