Bob has been active in the building façade restoration industry since 1977. He started as a Laborer and Tuckpointer for a nationwide restoration firm while attending college. He worked on stadiums, parking decks, high rise structures, bridges & churches, performing waterproofing, sealant, cleaning, masonry & concrete repairs. After finishing school at the University of Pittsburgh, Bob joined W R Grace before being hired back by the same nationwide restoration firm as an estimator, eventually opening a Chicago Office and reaching the position of Regional Vice President. During this time he was involved with many notable projects including Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water, The Rhode Island State Capitol the Merchandise Mart and The President McKinley National Memorial. In 1993, Bob set off to build his own firm that is J.S.Goray, Inc. J.S.Goray Inc. has successfully completed over 4500 commercial industrial and institutional façade projects in six states. Their client list includes CB Richard Ellis, NAI Hiffman, Home Depot and The Archdiocese of Chicago. J.S.Goray, Inc. has also serviced high-end residential structures that served as a personal residence of notable people such as NBA star Michael Jordan, Astronaut Jim Lovell and television personality Jerry Springer. Bob has served two terms as the President of the Illinois Chapter and as a National Board Member of the Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC) and as member of the OSHA Region V Industry Advisory Committee. He is the Past-Chairman of Illinois and National Leadership Trust member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) and served as a member of U.S.Senator Mark Kirk's Small Business Advisory Board. Bob is the holder of a City of Chicago Mason / Employing Mason’s License.
