Current position is Program Manager for (BRAC) Business Plan (BP) 198 Program Management Support and Initial Outfitting and Transition (IO&T) Services for the Collocated Medical Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. This multi-million dollar task order is for TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) Operations Division (TOD) to perform Base Realignment and Closure. In addition, ITSolutions will support the Transition Team and technical subgroups in planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of the implementation of BRAC BP 198 and provide support to the Implementation Team. Worked at OPM in DC. Setting up and developing SLM's and reports, Asset Management, Quality Control & Quality Assurance. Also setting up work-flows for PC deployment and Break/Fix processes.First assignment was to Mountain State University Data Center Build-out and Relocation project in WV. Responsibilities included the management and timely scheduling of hardware vendors (APC) which included the installation of a diesel generator that had to be crane lifted as well as 2 air handlers. Additional hardware included a UPS system, Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Automated Transfer Switch (ATS) and server racks. Provide technical direction and manage data center technical staff, documentation (network racks, patch panels, network, floor layout diagrams, etc.), and interface with customer senior personnel.

Responsibilities include the management of the County of Fairfax’s Enterprise Technology Operations Center. The ETOC supports over 70 county agencies with 20,000 plus users at over 200 sites. Processors include an IBM z/890 mainframe, 12 AIX RISC’s servers, 12 SUN servers including an E12K, 4 Unisys ES7000 enterprise servers and 850 Intel based servers. Additional responsibilities include all platform operating systems, Change Management, software configuration management, platform monitoring, Asset Management system, setting up a Quality Assurance function, Performance /Capacity planning, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Storage Management (8 EMC SAN’s - 350TB total), Corporate Systems, Production Control, Report Distribution, System monitoring and Alert Notification’s. Staff is at 38 and budget is at $15MM. Accomplishments include, directed an implemented Hitachi SAN and EMC SAN’s, Alternate Hot site, Asset Management, SCLM, PVCS, Change Management, Storage Strategy and 5 Year Plan. Committees include: Strategic planning, ITIL, CIO Council, System Development Life Cycle, Content Management, Energy and Emergency Alert, Process Improvement and Continuity of Operations planning as well as Disaster Recovery planning and implementation.

Sr. Project Manager assigned to Amdahl Corporation, a Fujitsu company. Project involved outsourcing clients IS infrastructure to four (4) of Amdahl’s nationally dispersed high capacity ASP facilities - utilizing HP hardware, Linux, and Apache - with associated networks including connections to multiple ISP providers. This project entails Biometrics security and Internet authentication. Ethentica provides high-level digital security for user authentication through the use of its Biometrics thumb print hardware and associated services. In addition to establishing relationships within Amdahl, Ethentica and its partners is to assist Amdahl in the creation and implementation of their ASP/AIP hosting services. To coordinate all activities within Amdahl and the client to ensure successful implementation of product(s) and meet the client’s time frame. Additional responsibilities include coordinating Amdahl resources to build the infrastructure for the ASP business, develop a generic SLA (Service Level Agreement), security (physical/logical - intrusion detection) operational, capacity planning, help desk, vendor management, change management and software/application distribution.

Accountable for building the IS infrastructure in operations and communications. Responsibilities include developing and executing system engineering plans and programs, both short and long-range to ensure support for RPS products and services. Analyze research and monitor the financial and technological factors that may affect the present and future needs of systems engineering. Also, develop and implement with other line executives the activities for providing new products/services. RPS is a mail order pharmacy that supports AARP and several chapters of AAA. Our call center is located in Roanoke, VA and is staffed with 800 Customer Service representatives. Our main data center also resides at this facility. Our main fulfillment center is located in Horsham, PA, and is supported by an IS staff. Additional remote locations include NY, Oregon, Iowa Richmond, VA, and a planed opening a second fulfillment center in Iowa. Corporate headquarters are located in Alexandria, VA. In addition too corporate support, I have IS responsibility for all remote locations. Staff is at 35 and includes NT, LAN, WAN and Exchange Administrators as well as Unix administrators, Oracle DBA’s and communications personnel (voice/data). Also, I had responsibility for disaster recovery, e-mail, Internet development and WEB hosting. Budget is $12 million with a capital budget of $3.5 million.

Responsibilities included the selection, installation and operational integrity as well as capacity planning of all computer systems, networks, and telecommunications; site systems installations and upgrades; computer disaster recovery plans and Y2K compliance. Develop standards, policies, and procedures for computer hardware, software, telecommunications and support services. Provide system configuration management for all sites. Develop and maintain vendor relationships. Develop/maintain IS Operations Department plan and budgets. Responsible for corporate Help Desk operations that supports corporate and field locations (3000 + users). Responsible for Project 2000 that includes migration from existing legacy system (CA Master Piece) to Lawson and a new UNIX hardware platform. Additional responsibilities include computer-related purchases, data security, physical security, disaster recovery, e-mail, web page development, and remote telephone systems. Staff of 30; operating budget of $10MM.Significant accomplishments:• Managed, designed and implemented infrastructure network topology to support corporate.• Directed implementation of Lawson (accounting) software.• Implemented software to support Help desk Functions (DSS & knowledge base).•Designed and implemented network topology to support 24 managed care facilities in NJ via Token Ring, Novell and Frame Relay.• Standardized PC & Network hardware.• Directed and implemented SSA & ADSM.

Responsibilities included: computer operations (mainframe and client/server), change and problem management, data and system security, as well as vendor management and disaster recovery. After 6 weeks; I assumed responsibility for all computer services during long-term leave status of supervisor. Staff of 35, operating budget of $20MM.Significant accomplishments:• Forecasted, designed and coordinated construction and relocation to new 20,000-sq. ft. Data Center. • Directed and implemented Distribution Center printing strategy using laser technology, significantly improving performance, quality and reliability.• Developed and implemented plan to reduce paper costs by $850K or 39% of paper budget.• Developed, and directed the implementation of an automated operations strategy.
