I had a great 35 year career with the NKC School District with stops at Northgate Jr. High, Oak Park HS, and North Kansas City HS. I had the honor of helping Hollis-Miller Architects and J.E. Dunn Construction with the planning and building of Staley High School. I've maintained my connection with the school district by serving on the NKC Schools Education Foundation and substituting for school administrators as needed. In 2010, I established the NKC High School Hall of Fame Project as a way to highlight the great alumni, faculty, and families of the Northtown Nation and to celebrate the rich history of the school and district.. The NKC Brickyard was established as a fundraiser for the project and over 1000 names are inscribed in the "Brickyard". More than $35,000 has been return to the school for history displays, graphics, faculty incentives, and various student projects and sponsorship.
