Bob has authored or co-authored more than 90 publications on mining environmental technology, wrote the coal mining portions of the free on-line Global Acid Rock Drainage (GARD) Guide, and has edited five books, including a book on predicting water quality at surface coal mines and a book on acidic mine lakes. He has served as President of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation, and currently serves as vice-president of the International Mine Water Association and as Editor-in-Chief of Mine Water and the Environment, a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by Springer.Specialties: Bob is an environmental geologist with a sub-specialization of mine water.
