● Implementing, administering, and managing divisional EAD (Encoded Archival Description) program; selection and creation of finding aids in EAD for Digital Library site; proof-reading and correcting finding aids produced by third party encoders and coworkers.● Management of archival collections, including organizing, arranging, processing, cataloging of and producing their finding aids; Collections processed and finding aids produced for numerous collections, including those by Bruno Walter, Sy Oliver, Heinrich Schenker.● Tackling and resolving issues regarding preservation and access of archival collections.● Supervising the processing of archival collections, including those working under the Noble project (1993-95); supervision at all steps of processing as well as instruction in Advanced Revelation computer software application● Serving on intra-library committees: Bibliographic Control and Access (2000-01); Catalog Policy (1999-2000); Database subcommittee (2000); unofficial AMC/EAD working group (1997-present); also served on committees preliminary to implementation of EAD (1995-97), and work on database survey of LPA (1994-96).● Cataloging monographs, manuscripts, and other unusual items, including the John Cage Music Manuscript Collection (ca. 1100 records)● Public service on reference desks.● Reference service: Includes answering queries in person, by regular mail and e-mail.● Computers and technology: have maintained knowledge of computer software and keep current on latest developments.
