Over the years I have been fortunate to be associated with a quality company in Valvoline. Throughout the years I have had the ability to utilize my talents in a team environment. Since November of 2007 I have worked as an account manager and consultant/trainer for the Express Care and Goodyear retail accounts. In this role the growth of product sales through employee training and motivation is imperative for the success of the account. Currently I work with 12 district managers and 1 regional manager with the Goodyear account. The collaboration to earn trust to work within another company’s culture is both challenging and rewarding. The ability to be independent and self-starting has been hallmark of my tenure and relevant with Valvoline maintaining and growing the account. Over the years we have been able to grow both premium oil and preventative flush maintenance services. As a team we earned two excellence awards within Valvoline. Prior to the consultative/training role I had the honor to be part of the greatest automotive oil change company (VIOC) in the industry as an area manager. In this capacity the roll was multi-functional with P&L responsibilities. Vital responsibilities included the growth and development of my team to meet and exceed Valvoline’s goals and expectations. Establishing superior customer satisfaction, sales growth, safety along with conducting classroom training, reviews and individual training plans were part of my responsibilities. While we were set up in a regional organizational structure I had 3 straight years of one of my managers earning “Rookie of the Year” honors, 1 SCM of the year and 2 SCM’s moving on to be area managers in their own right. I was awarded an excellence award for safety and EH&S compliance. Success in this role translated into success as a consultant/trainer.
