For the past 13+ years I have led a broad range of pivotal legal and business initiatives for Legion Insurance Company in multiple areas, including:Commercial Transactions | Contract Drafting & Negotiating | Litigation Management | Corporate Governance Statutory & Regulatory Compliance | Human Resources | Bankruptcy & Liquidation | Insurance.Previously, I provided a range of legal services for a variety of corporate clients at well-renowned Philadelphia law firms. Examples of my diverse achievements include:DEBT COLLECTION - Success in recovering outstanding deductibles and premiums over the past 10 years while containing collection costs to <16% of collections.DIVESTITURES – Closing the sale of 2 subsidiaries for $20M+ each, millions of dollars in excess of the anticipated target value.COST CONTAINMENT - Reducing legal costs by 12% by implementing an electronic billing system and billing guidelines; and reducing vendor fees across departments through assertive negotiation.PROCESS IMPROVEMENT - Overhauling Legion’s contracting processes (from RFP to contract execution) for 250+ vendors to create uniformity, improve legal review and save significant cost.
