Bob Lilien joined Robinson Bradshaw just after law school. He was then a CPA, licensed in North Carolina (inactive CPA license since 2013). He practices in the areas of general corporate, energy, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, venture capital and private equity law.Bob left in 1993 to join Duke Power as vice president and tax counsel. He served Duke Energy Corporation in many roles, including vice president and general counsel - corporate and energy services, senior vice president, and chairman and CEO of Crescent Resources. Bob was later appointed president of Duke Ventures, chairman of Duke Capital Partners and chairman of DukeNet Communications. He rejoined the firm in 2002.In addition to his work with Robinson Bradshaw, Bob is also the managing member of a private equity firm, Trilogy Capital Partners, LLC.Bob has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Lynnwood Foundation (Duke Mansion and Lee Institute) since inception in 1996 and as its Chair from 2013 through 2015. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art since inception in 2005 and helped found that institution and has also served on the boards of several other non-profit institutions. He has also served on the Boards of Directors of several publicly listed companies. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
