I have an active practice as a lawyer, mediator and arbitrator in Edmonton, Alberta and have a wide variety of experience in resolving disputes, both as an advocate and as a neutral. As legal counsel since 1978, I have extensive experience in civil litigation, administrative law, and professional self-governance matters. I am committed to helping clients find cost effective solutions to disputes.A mediator since 1994, I have mediated in excess of 300 Queen’s Bench actions in such diverse matters as employment related disputes, personal injury, insurance, professional negligence, disability claims, corporate/commercial disputes and construction. I achieved the designation of Chartered Mediator (C.Med.) from the ADR Institute of Canada in 2002.An arbitrator since 2006, as both panel chair and as sole arbitrator, I have conducted arbitrations in a wide variety of matters, including construction (commercial & residential), corporate (shareholder & partnership dissolutions), franchise, and commercial lease disputes. I achieved the designation of Chartered Arbitrator (C. Arb.) in 2017.I am active in training other legal professionals in alternative dispute resolution through the both the Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA) and the Canadian Bar Association.
