Responsible for industry level strategy and programs on Human Rights, Environmental Sustainability and Health & Safety issues. Launched the Responsible Raw Materials and Responsible Labor Initiatives focused on organizing meaningful cross industry action and impact to significant human rights, labor and environmental risks in international supply chains. Manage the revenue portfolio for major initiatives, including securing approximately $2.5 million in funding from major foundations.Provide in-depth research and recommendations to the Board of Directors and membership related to salient and emerging risk areas such as Trafficked & Forced Labor and Circular Economy. Lead an international staff focused on sustainability program execution, external advocacy and deep issue engagement. Regularly engage with government, NGOs, media and other stakeholders to promote and inform RBA programs and focus areas.

Led an international team of professionals delivering global sustainability programs, including Supply Chain Responsibility, Conflict Minerals, Human Rights, End-of-Life Assurance, Materials Disclosures and Responsible Packaging & Paper. Programs recognized externally as world class, illustrated by receipt of the inaugural Thomson Reuters Foundation’s Stop Slavery Award. Chaired an executive council focused on establishing and meeting corporate wide social & environmental strategy and goals. Engaged with regional teams to support >$4.5 billion in bids & tenders requiring expected levels of social & environmental performance annually. Accelerated improvement in supply chain environmental footprints and worker rights through key partnerships, procurement engagement and on-the-ground programs. Amplified HPE’s programs through stakeholder engagement, corporate sustainability reporting and media outreach, including favorable program positioning in such tier 1 publications as the Wall Street Journal.

Led the Supply Chain Responsibility (SCR) function for HP’s multi-billion dollar supply chain, spanning six continents and more than 45 countries and territories. Developed and implemented the strategy for HP’s SCR efforts, including the company’s leading programs on protecting student and foreign migrant workers as well as establishing the industry’s first supply chain greenhouse gas goal. Managed a team of 18 professionals in 7 countries to deliver world class SCR policy development, supply chain monitoring and capability building. Directly engaged with NGOs, government, academics and other stakeholders to promote HP’s program; assess emerging risks and shape public dialogue. Ensured HP’s SCR excellence was represented with customers before, during and after purchasing decisions.

Provided leadership and program management for key environmental programs, including large regulatory implementations (ex: REACH), proactive reduction of substances of concern (ex: BFR/PVC), voluntary eco-label implementation (ex: EPEAT, ENERGY STAR) and Environmental Management System certifications (ISO 14001). Led the environmental goal setting and achievement for desktop, workstation and display business units with visibility to executive management. Managed multi-year environmental product roadmaps to support goal achievement. Developed and managed implementation of product regulatory and voluntary environmental requirements for desktop, display and workstation product lines. Ensured product compliance with regulations and customer demand expectations.
