About Bob Mong

Retired July 1 as President of the University of North Texas at Dallas. The only public 4-year university in the City of Dallas. UNT Dallas is both an Hispanic Serving Institution and a Minority Serving Institution, serving students from the school's principal geography - Southern Dallas and the metro area's inner ring suburbs and area community colleges. Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college. The school is located on a beautiful spot in Southern Dallas with a view of Downtown Dallas 12 miles to the north. UNT Dallas also includes the recently fully accredited UNT College of Law, located in Downtown Dallas in a fully restored building that served as Dallas City Hall from 1914-78. UNT Dallas and its College of Law concluded a $150 million building campaign in 2019 that transformed both campuses. We received another $100 million to build a Science complex that will add transformational health care career opportunities for our students. We also just completed construction of Ryan Tower, the highest point in southern Dallas. UNT Dallas’ number of graduates also rose 120 percent between 2015 to 2021 (475 to 1034).
