I was appointed Honorary Consul of Spain in New Mexico in 2000 and served in that position until 2012 with many nice experiences. During that I time I was appointed to the Board of Directors of the United States-Spain Council, consisting of 30 members from the United States and 30 from Spain. With meetings in Spain and the United States some very wonderful friendships with both Americans and Spaniards were developed. After these areas of service to Spain, I was given the honor of being named a Knight in the Order of Isabel La Catolica, Cruz De Oficial.
