The manager should seek outpartnerships, recruit and maintain volunteers, and collaborate with internal and externalstakeholders to effectively lead and grow the program.

The Volunteer Services Manager works with the Director of Advancement and Volunteer Services to develop policies, procedures and standards of work that ensure Hospice of the Chesapeake meets all regulatory and compliance guidelines applicable to the Volunteer Department. This includes ensuring that HOC is compliant with our recruitment, onboarding, training, and filling and tracking of volunteer request processes and procedures. The Volunteer Services Manager will work collaboratively with team members to ensure fulfillment of best practices in a compliant and timely manner, ensuring the best patient and caregiver experience. This position also serves as the primary manager of Veterans and Special Programs within Volunteer Services.

The Director of Religious Education (DRE) supports the mission of Allen Avenue UU Church(A2U2) through a passionate dedication to creating community and spiritual growth for familieswith children, and facilitating quality religious education for our children and youth. The DREholds responsibility for the development and operation of programs which will meet these goals,working with volunteer leaders in all facets of this process, from visioning to implementation.

Performs initial intake and assessments of all veterans for acceptance into Veterans Inc. programs. Develops individualized service plans for homelessness prevention and or rapid rehousing based on veterans input, interests, and needs. Coordinates veterans' participation in the agency programs. Assists veterans with researching and accessing needed services including VA benefits, employment training/placement , educational support, counseling, housing, medical services and other public benefits such as health care services, daily living services, personal financial planning services, transportation, fiduciary and payee services, legal services, child care, housing counseling services, and temporary financial assistance.
