Identified and analyzed commercial off the shelf demodulators and made recommendations for purchasing of COTS demodulators. Responsible for the design and development of software modules within the MIDAS 2K framework for the processing of digitized signals. These software modules consisted of a Costas Loop demodulator, block phase estimator, adaptive equalizer, and Viterbi FEC decoding and bit processing. Software modules were developed in C/C++ utilizing DSP techniques optimized for processing performance. Software demodulator runs on DEC and SUN UNIX based workstations.

Developed and specified radio system parameters that included a Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) schema with a robust block-data encoding scheme that operated as a 2.4 Ghz Frequency Hopped Spread Spectrum wireless LAN. Responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the prototype radios integrated correctly with the customer’s existing product line as well as the customers next generation product line. Responsible for ensuring that the products and work were developed according the medical device manufactures stringent quality assurance plan. All software was developed for the Texas Instruments TMS320C203/5 and Analog Devices AD2185/87 Digital Signal Processors as well as general purpose computers.
