Village Realty has grown to serve over 1000 vacation rental property owners on the Outer Banks, Ocracoke and Carolina Beach. Village Realty also manages over 70 property owners associations, and holds the AMO designation (Accredited Management Organization) from the Institute of Real Estate Management. Village is the only firm on the Outer Banks to earn this designation. In 2016, we recapitalized Village and partnered with Tregaron Capital, a private equity firm from Palo Alto, CA, retaining equity in the company. Tregaron provides the resources and financial know-how for Village to expand its footprint and culture in partnership with additional local vacation rental companies in the South East. -

Don Bryan served as a long-time Mayor of Nags Head, and his leadership guided the vision of Nags Head in the 1970's and 1980's, critical times for the community. With its formal birth in 2012, the Bryan Cultural Series board added an eclectic series of performance and visual arts programs to the Outer Banks, including a lecture by Pulitzer Prize winning author, David McCullough. It was an honor to assist Don Bryan in bringing his vision to reality. -
MayorTown Of Nags Head Dec 2009 - Nov 2013While serving as mayor for the Town of Nags Head, I coordinated with Dare County municipalities and Dare County to create a locally funded finance plan for the first beach nourishment project in Dare County and Nags Head. In 2011, 4.6 million cubic yards of sand were added to ten miles of Nags Head, on time and under budget, approximately $36 million in infrastructure investment. The project was unique because it lacked any federal or state funding, the typical methods of financing for beach nourishment projects.
