Selected AccomplishmentsDesigned a solution and led a team in implementation of a Business Continuity Process for a large (hundreds of terabytes) Active Data Warehouse, supporting robust failover to a secondary data center in the event of a data center-wide outage.Designed and implemented enhancements to a high-performance rules-engine (Perl/SQL/Teradata) processing hundreds of millions of rows daily, for generating double-sided accounting entries from legacy Risk Systems having only single-sided entries.Designed and led a team in implementing a data warehouse consolidating Brokerage, Clearing and Exchange fees, at the trade-level, from all trading activities across all asset-classes traded by Morgan Stanley globally. This system has become a powerful tool in providing insight to Financial Controllers and has led to millions of dollars in cost savings/cost avoidance.Designed and led a team implementing a data warehouse storing all Morgan Stanley Equity trades globally. The focus was to support self-service by business-users (Traders, Sales Traders, Compliance Officers, Controllers, Strats and others) and it continues to be very successful in meeting that self-service goal.• Tens of millions of rows added daily.• Main User Interface: SAP’s Business Objects.The goal of this project was to provide Senior Managers in Equities with insights into the Client Profitability of Equity customers, considering both revenues from trading activities as well as the costs associated with maintaining customer relationships. Partnered directly with Senior Managers in Equities to clarify their needs. Architected, designed and led a team in implementing the solution.
