I offer a unique background in Commercial Banking, Asset Management, Real Estate Executive and CA Real Estate Broker, with over 30 years of experience specializing in management, real estate development and brokerage, and consulting nationwide.As a real estate consultant and executive, I successfully sourced financing for multifamily, student housing and commercial properties, including construction and permanent financing through commercial banks, Fannie Mae, LIHTC and grants. My expertise spans the entire development lifecycle, including acquisition and underwriting ground-up and value-add opportunities, contract negotiations, due diligence, navigating the entitlement and environmental (CEQA/NEPA) process, design and engineering oversight, budget management, and construction supervision. I was tasked with managing teams of architects, engineers, contractors, consultants and vendors through the legal and compliance requirements set forth by government agencies. This background affords me a realistic insight to feasibilities, valuations and OREO liquidations.I spent 20+ years as a commercial banker specializing in real estate finance in a senior management role, managing multiple offices in the Southern California region along with a team of production officers from San Diego to Los Angeles. Much of that time was dedicated to Special Assets and managing loan portfolios, both balance sheet assets and FDIC Loss Share portfolios. The types of credits included construction loans, term real estate loans, commercial lines of credit and marine preferred mortgages. This background equipped me with a deep understanding of problem loan resolution and restructures, foreclosure, bankruptcy, FDIC Loss Share oversight, valuations and maximizing recoveries through payoff or liquidation. Whether as an executive, consultant or broker, I approach every role with an entrepreneurial mindset, building teams and strategies to reach the common goal.
