At the EBS I teach periodic courses in business English, academic writing, negotiation theory and practice, oral presentations, and intercultural communication to undergraduate students.

The focus of the courses is English related to issues that are relevant to the work of the staff in these ministries, which enables me to make ample use of my 35 years of experience as a US Civil Servant. I also provided individual coaching for the two State Secretaries at the Interior Ministry during the latter part of 2013.

I entered the diplomatic service as a consular officer and served a tour at the American Embassy in Mexico City. I then held various positions at the State Dept. in Washington DC. I transferred to the Civil Service in 1981, working in the field of educational and cultural exchanges, and from 1983 until 2007 I focused on youth exchanges. As the director of that office I grew it to a multimillion dollar program that became a major element in the State Dept's public diplomacy sector.
