My practice specializes in insurance [Designated "Super Lawyer in Insurance since 2011] and reinsurance coverage disputes. I was appointed adjunct professor of insurance law at the University of Georgia School of law and taught there for 4 years. I currently have in print through West a 2 volume treatise entitled "Excess Liability"​ co-authored with Ken Brownlee. I am a certifed mediator/arbitrator and specialize in complex coverage disputes. I have been qualfied as a insurance expert in bad faith and liability insurance coverage cases. My trial experience includes the defense of product, construction and professional liability cases, as well as the reprresentation of insurers and insureds in coverage litigation. On occasion I represent individual and commercial policyholders in insurance coverage disputes. Institutional insurance clients include Underwriters at Lloyd's, Navigators Insurance Group, State Auto Insurance Group, AmTrust Insurance Group. Institutional policyholder clients include CKS Packaging, Oglethorpe Power, NaturChem, Georgia Spice Company. Institutional clients for whom I have done defense work include Skanska Building USA, Asplundh Tree Expert Co.,Turner Construction, Owatonna [Mustang] Manufacturing and multiple insurers.
