While working with Harvard Developments I worked to provide quick response to all HVAC ,RTU’s, electrical, plumbing and roofing concerns as well as performing routine repairs, monthly meter readings and assorted general maintenance repairs as required.Dealt with contractors for servicing, repairs, maintaining and replacing equipment as needed.Procured supplies and materials needed, issued PO’s for products and services.Assisted management in preparing maintenance plan, budgeting, long range capital plans and coordinating on-site services.

While working for Canderel Management West Inc. I worked on creating the annual budget and future projections, oversaw project planning, scheduling, contracts, and logistics for year-round short and long-term projects and repairs for the Edmonton City Centre. I managed a maintenance and repair team of five, overseeing and executing all maintenance, repairs, and project plans including but not limited to: escalator/elevators, plumbing, electrical, construction, signage, doors/locks, lighting, and annual roofing repairs, in addition to directing and supervising all the contractors. I also compiled and delivered purchase orders, invoices, and worked on refining contracts as necessary. Finally, I worked on identifying and conducting cost saving initiatives regularly for Operations Retail Maintenance expenses; plumbing, lighting, cleaning, etc.♦ Spearheaded annual roofing operations and saved costs by generating proposal contracts and orchestrating vendor bidding. ♦ Significantly reduced energy costs by implementing an energy saving program, converting high output lighting to LED tools and services. ♦ Diminished the need for contractors by training and coaching internal maintenance team to handle both advanced and smaller orders and repairs. ♦ Saved thousands in water consumption by researching and procuring more efficient plumbing appliances and tools.

I collaborated closely with the Operations and Retail Management to select vendors, services, and draft contracts for three-year terms. I facilitated the Operations Retail Maintenance department’s annual budget, staffing, and scheduling. I also fostered positive relations with clients, vendors, and contractors while curating a safety-first service model and training program. Finally, I oversaw a team of eight staff members. ♦ Save thousands in energy costs annually by recommending and procuring automatic rolling doors for loading dock.

I oversaw the operation and administration of the site maintenance department including the planning of short and long-term projects/repairs, facilitating the annual budget across office towers and retail programs, and orchestrating/supervising the contractors. I addressed and delivered all the work and repair orders, tenant requests and needs, and the follow-up procedures across both interior and exterior repairs, custodial contract/maintenance staff, and ground works. I also processed the purchase orders, maintained tools, monitored the supply stock, and administered payroll. Finally, I trained, coached, and supervised a team of six across all the maintenance operations. ♦ Saved labor costs, diversified team skills, and reduced number of contractors needed by encouraging maintenance team to enroll in professional development courses, including house plumbing and smaller maintenance skills. ♦ Established as on-site SME and trainer for operating Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, and WHMIS standards/conduct.

Responsible for taking care of dispatch of Maintenace, Operators and Security, monitor cameras, acknowledging alarm panels and dispatching as required, coordinating contractor access and contacts, managing access to keywatcher key system for staff and contractors as well as contacting EPS when needed.
