I am a positive, personable chap, with nigh on 20 years progressive experience within the Assistive Technology market. After leaving school, I trained as a chef and worked my way up to head chef at a couple of restaurants. I also had a very successful stint as manager in a retail shop selling top quality hi-fi. As Business Development Director at LexAble, it is my responsibility to identify new opportunities and markets for the business to expand into. This suits me well as I am an innovative thinker.Since being at LexAble I have designed and implemented a CPD accreditation programme - this is proving to be very successful! I helped organise our CPS assessor days with Texthelp, Matchware, and Glean. And I oversaw the launch of Global Tasks, our task management system. Over the years, I have developed my presentation skills to a very high standard. I am confident speaking in front of both a large audience, and a small intimate gathering. My favourite thing about my job is meeting so many lovely people on my travels. I excel at networking; building lasting relationships is not only enjoyable for me, but second nature. The last few years have seen some changes and challenges. We joined the Lingit group in 2020, and then joined the Texthelp group in 2021. We have colleagues within Claro, Texthelp, Wizkids, Lingit, and Don Johnston. We also had the challenge of the pandemic, forcing us to develop new ways to reach out to our friends. Before the pandemic you would have found me travelling the UK, giving presentations about our products (Global AutoCorrect and Global Tasks) to both Trainers and Assessors, whilst accrediting them in the process.
