I am a former career military officer and human resources professional with a passion for solving complex organizational challenges, analyzing corporate finances, and running marathons. As a first-generation American, I was raised with a great appreciation for the United States and the opportunities available to everyone with the willingness to work hard and take chances. With this in mind, shortly after graduating from high school, I enlisted in the Navy and served as a hospital corpsman. Over the next 32 years, I rose through the ranks, earning my commission from the U.S. Naval Academy and serving at increasingly complex military commands. Early in my career, I worked as recruiter at Naval Recruiting District Minneapolis where I developed my passion for recruiting and manpower logistics. As a human resources officer, I provided manpower analytics and recruiting leadership at all levels in the United States Navy, including serving a year in Iraq as the advisor to the Head of the Iraqi Navy on all manpower and personnel issues. I’ve had successful command of the nation’s largest and consistently top-producing recruiting district, Navy Recruiting District San Diego. I have most recently served as the Region East Commodore leading over 2500 recruiters in all talent acquisition efforts east of the Mississippi, including Europe, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. After 32 years with the Navy, I’m very excited to leverage my leadership, education, and staffing experience with the PrideStaff family and North County San Diego.
