Exercising diverse set of skills in IBMi (AS/400, iSeries),systems management with experience on over 130 systems at more than 50 business entities.Major Customers/Clients Served: State of Colorado Judicial Department, Qwest Communications, ICG Communications, Scholastic, IBM, Andersen Consulting, MDC Holdings, Insight America, Schwan’s Technical Services, Sybase, Clark County, NV. Woolworth/Venator Corporation, and Intelligent Electronics.Successfully engineered the 4th installation of SAP on the IBMi in the US, for a PC distributor, the merging of 15 independent systems into one for the Colorado Judicial Branch, and the 1st multi-LPAR failover of JDE Enterprise One using replication software.

Servicing more that fifty partitions at multiple data centers in the US. Both hosted & non-hosted customers. Efforts include hardware & software installations, migrations, OS upgrades, HMC upgrades, multi-host backup automation, performance analysis & tuning, system restores, decomissions, and scratch installs, Tools managed/used included Robot, Mimix, & BRMS. Applications supported from an IBMi engineering standpoint were JD Edwards Enterprise One & World, and OS400 3rd party apps. .

Provide multi-tier technical support in the IBMi space to senior-level CNCs & clients. Company was acquired by Denovo.

Systems Architect-JDE CNC: Responsibilities included disaster recovery planning & implementation, security management, change control, performance analysis & tuning, systems management, database design, hardware/software upgrades, and all facets of operations management for two IBM i systems running five partitions that included a remote recovery environment using DataMirror (acquired by IBM). Physically relocated those systems three times in the past six years. Transitioned them to a single archive Power 7 IBM i server (model 720 OS release 7.1) in 2014. In 2009 joined ERP team to assume CNC role for transition of AS400 homebuilder environment to J D Edwards Enterprise One at Tools Release 8.98 on Windows utilizing MS SQL Server as a database. Designed and assisted in the implementation of a multi-tier, multi data source environment with DV, PY, and PD path codes. Production includes an MS SQL database, six web, three logic, and one BSS server. Performed over 350 update & full package builds annually. In addition over that five year period performed six tools release upgrades including the 9.1 Tools Release. Provided E1 troubleshooting and technical support to management, business analysts, developers, auditors, help desk, and end users.Enterprise One Daily Tasks included:• Application, Web, and BSSV Server Configuration & Support• Full & Update Package builds • BSSV builds• Menu, security, OMW, and scheduled job configuration & troubleshooting• BA, developer, internal audit, end user, and Help Desk support• Heavy Client configuration & support • ESU analysis and installation

Designed and implemented an iIBMi hardware solution that replaced two 8xx systems with a single partitioned POWER 5 model i520 at a Colorado-based national homebuilder.

Responsibilities included staff supervision, disaster recovery planning, security management, change control, performance tuning, systems management, database design, hardware/software upgrades, and operations management for two iSeries systems serving 3000 internal & external users at 104 court locations. Supported development staff in requirements definition and design of existing application modifications and new solutions.

Clients Served: Magma Copper, Microsoft, Intelligent Electronics, Roadway, Plasti-Line, and Corporate Express. Project proposal and planning, technical staffing selection, organization & supervision; vendor management and operations assessment. Design and implementation of application development & system operation standards, client training, and developer education. Performance tuning, business recovery planning, operations implementation, communications configuration, and the installation of operating system upgrades and PTF installation.
